Uterus Cancer Surgery – polyps uterus cancer

In an instance of uterine cancer, surgery( removing the cancer in an operation) is the most common care for the disease.

Most cases of uterine cancer occur in the liner( endometrium) of the uterus. This article uses the expression” uterine cancer” to refer to this type of cancer, also known as endometrial cancer. The following surgical procedures may be used in cases of uterine cancer:

* Total hysterectomy
* Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
* Radical hysterectomy.

Total Hysterectomy

Total hysterectomy is a surgical procedure that is used to remove the uterus, including the cervix. If the uterus and cervix are made out through the vagina, the operation is called a vaginal hysterectomy. If the uterus and cervix are taken out through a large incision in the abdomen, the operation is called a total abdominal hysterectomy. If the uterus and cervix are taken out through a small incision in the abdomen employing a laparoscope, the operation is called a total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy

Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is a surgical procedure that is used to remove both of the ovaries and both sets of fallopian tubes.
Radical Hysterectomy

Radical hysterectomy is a surgical procedure that is used to remove the uterus, the cervix, and part of the vagina. The ovaries, fallopian tube, or adjacent lymph nodes may also be removed in a radical hysterectomy.
Following Uterine Cancer Surgery With Radiation or Hormone Treatment

Even if medical doctors removes all the cancer that can be seen at the moment of its uterine cancer surgery, some patients may be given radiation therapy or hormone therapy after surgery to kill any cancer cells that are left. Uterine cancer treatment that is given after the surgery to increase the chances of a panacea is called adjuvant therapy.
Recovering From Uterine Cancer Surgery

After a hysterectomy, the status of women will usually be in pain and seem highly tired. However, most women will return to their ordinary activities within 4 to 8 weeks after surgery.
