Storey of Someone Tongue Cancer,” A Killer Ripening In My Mouth” – cancer on tongue pictures
I can’t sleep.
My mind gallivants with the things that are to come.
I was diagnosed a marry weeks ago with stage 3 tongue cancer. The sizing of my tongue cancer is sizing 2, as far as oral cancer runs it is pretty small.
They are announcing it a stage 3 because it has spread into one lymph gland so far. I had that gland removed and that’s when they found the carcinoma.
Mouth cancer, oral cancer, esophageal cancer and thyroid cancer are all gunmen if left rampant for to long. Due to the site they are extremely hard to operate on and the
tissue they are growing in is very delicate.( oh yea, and very necessary !)
What’s in store for me now is very difficult for me to comprehend.
I will be coming 7 weeks of radiation therapy Monday-Friday, each morning.
I will get chemotherapy once a few weeks but it will be in such a low-pitched dosage that I will not loose my hair.
Do to the location of my tongue cancer which is at the base of the tongue( can not be seen without bent mirrors or a remit) radioactivity is the only course of action.
Tongue cancer is a extremely invasive cancer. It depletes the muscle and material. It doesn’t really develop on top of the material it depletes the tissue. It is called squamous cell carcinoma.
Here is a explanation of squamous cadre from http :// www.medterms.com;
Definition of Squamous cells
Squamous cadres: Flat cadres that look like fish proportions. The command “squamous” came from the Latin squama meaning” the scale of a fish or serpent .”
We have a lot of squamous cadres. They make up the majority of members of the cadres in the outer blanket of the surface( the epidermis ), the passings of the respiratory and digestive parcels, and the liners of the hollow organs of their own bodies. We are more fish- like( or serpent-like) than we may think.( purpose)
Because of its invasive sort tongue cancer downs important muscle mass at the back of the tongue. Through radiation therapy they will be killing the material that is infected with the carcinoma, thus killing half of the muscles on the back of my tongue.
The doctors tell me that after 6-8 months I should be able to swallow exceedingly soft menus and liquid.
But as for chewing until then, in a few days from now I am getting a feeding tube inserted into my belly. I will be munching adult formula through a tube for the next 6 months.
The radiation will be killing my thyroid gland, I will have to take medicine every day for it for the rest of my life.
The radiation exposure while killing the bad materials will also be killing a lot of good tissues.
The process will be similar to a second degree sunburn every morning five days a week for 7 weeks.
My cancer doctors tell me that I will release all the skin on the outside of my neck where the radioactivity beams are concentrated much like a daylight burn that will blister up every day with each new treatment.
Therefore effecting a large raw flesh arena on my neck that I will have to keep a ponderous bed of salve on.
At some detail in the next duet weeks I will be going a subcutaneous embed for a morphine drip.
The tissues inside the throat area and back of the tongue will be fresh equal to countless sunbathe blazes as well.
They said some people have to have a tracheotomy because their throat material swells to the spot where they are unable no longer breath properly.
This all sounds gruesome and I am sure that it will be extremely distressing and closer to intolerable.
However the alternative is no medication which will guarantee extinction within 6-10 months.
So I visualize I can take the anguish, medical doctors promised they would save me “snowed” for as long as needed so that I can complete this medication.( my affixes may get slurred !)
As this tongue cancer process develops I shall be posting almost daily with my progression, supposes, tenderness and medical evaluations.
I am not doing this blog for your pity.
I am substantiating this horrible wander so that maybe some of the readers will come to this understanding……I inhaled cigarettes for 25 times, I munched a little tobacco, I suck my fair share of booze, all of these are directly related to lip cancer, tongue cancer, oral cancer,
esophageal cancer and thyroid cancer.
Maybe, simply maybe, a few people will read and follow together with me on this journeying and quit smoking, chewing, drinking overly and cleaning process “peoples lives” so they will not have to
go through this.
The journey inaugurates ………..
