A surgery was done on October 25 to remove the lesions from his brain.It was one of the toughest periods of his treatment.The treats that used in the therapy were pain, but he had been able to withstand everything only with his will power.The last and final chemotherapy was received on 13 December 1996. After that, On February 1997 he was declared as Cancer-free.
After the most severe daylights of cancer survival, Lance again started to set hard to prepare himself to get back to the cycling world.Soon he signed a contract with US Postal team for a salary of $200,000 per year.He started to train on terrain places where once he descends once due to weakness caused by cancer.
After his continues hard work he was paid off by winning 7 consecutive Tour de France award from 1998-2005 which was on of the best achievement by a cyclist.
On February 1997, he brought up a non-profit organization called Lance Armstrong Foundation( LAF) which was aimed to motivate and engender the cancer survivors.They too provided financial help to the cancer patients.
